Welcome to my Educational Portfolio.  My name is Colleen Schneider, and I am a graduating senior at the College of William and Mary.  I am in the Secondary English program here at the College, and after I graduate I will be teaching high school English in Illinois.

I have gained much from my experiences student teaching as well as from my education at William and Mary.  I am thrilled that I can combine my passions for learning, literature, and caring for others into one profession.  For a more detailed look at my individual focus on the portfolio and the process of becoming a teacher, please view my Portfolio Metaphor.

In this portfolio I will demonstrate through my artifacts the ways in which I have fulfilled the requirements of the School of Education.  These artifacts also demonstrate my successful preparation for becoming a secondary English teacher.  The SOE Conceptual Framework and the various competencies are located on the sidebar, and links to all artifacts are provided next to the competencies that they meet.  The NCTE standards are listed after artifacts that meet the standards.
